Director of Development

Rich Chism leads the Innisfree Hotels Development Department.  He oversees planning, design, financial feasibility, entitlements, and construction as well as coordinating the activities of professionals such as architects, engineers, attorneys, contractors, lenders, real estate agents, property managers, vendors, franchisors and government officials.

Mr. Chism worked as manager with two commercial real estate development companies prior to joining Innisfree in 2008.  Since joining Innisfree the development team has successfully constructed two Gulf front resorts including a 206 room Holiday Inn Resort, Pensacola Beach, Florida and a 160 room Hampton Inn & Suites in Orange Beach, Alabama.  He is currently overseeing an eleven acre mixed use development at the Pensacola International Airport that includes a 127 room Hyatt Place Hotel as well as high end retail, restaurant and office spaces. 

Rich served in the U.S. Army as an Army Aviator for 11 years after graduating from the U.S. Military Academy, West Point in 1989. He then went on to earn a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Wharton School of Business.
