Director of New Media Marketing

Jill Thomas manages Innisfree’s vibrant digital marketing efforts; training property managers and sales teams to use emergent digital technology to engage customers on platforms such as CMS websites, Facebook, Twitter, Google + and hospitality review sites.  She creates and implements content marketing and reputation management campaigns to increase sales, foster brand loyalty and enhance guest experiences.

Ms. Thomas has decades of experience in strategic communications, marketing, public relations and hospitality management. Prior to joining the Innisfree team in 2011, she was a lead strategist in two digital communications companies where she implemented dozens of new media and digital marketing campaigns for hospitality, culinary and destination-marketing clients.

Prior to that she spent a decade working as a campaign strategist and communication consultant for an international coalition of ENGOs collaborating to influence a Provincial Government sponsored land-use planning initiative in coastal British Columbia, Canada.  She started her career working in television and radio production as a publicist and field producer on several national Canadian television shows airing on the Global Television Network, The Life Channel and The Learning Channel. She’s also owned two successful restaurants.

Ms. Thomas has an undergraduate history degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Masters in Environmental Studies from York University.
