Jack Work started as the Corporate Controller for Innisfree Hotels in 1992. His responsibilities include accounting and cash management for company hotels, management contracts and development projects. He has decades of experience in hospitality accounting; prior to joining the Innisfree team he spent eight years working as the Controller at both the Wequasett Inn & Ocean Edge Resort and Conference Center in Cape Cod, Massachusetts..
Mr. Work started his hospitality career while he was still in high school. He worked full-time in the hotel business while attending Florida State University from where he graduated with an undergraduate degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management. He later went on to complete his Accounting degree at Northeastern University. During summer breaks, he interned at a prestigious private club in Cape Cod, and upon graduation he completed a manager trainee program in a restaurant chain based in Washington DC.
His duties at Innisfree include every aspect of the company accounting and finance including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, preparing financial statements and reporting to various partners and financial institutions. Mr. Work has implemented two new accounting systems during his tenure and prepares in excess of thirty-five financial statements every month.
