

Regional Director of Operations
Gwen Byrd Vickers’ Innisfree Hotels portfolio includes three franchised limited-service hotel properties, one independent hotel, and two RV Resorts and a Marina. She has more than three decades of hospitality industry experience. She works closely with the hotel managers in her region to maximize efficiency and ease of day to day operations. She also participates in the design of Innisfree’s operations management paperwork and tracking methodologies which ensure consistent company-wide accountability.
Since joining Innisfree in 1989, she’s held the positions of Director of Purchasing, Director of Sales and Regional Director of Operations. She’s managed hotel openings, renovations, take overs and post-sale closings as well as the construction and opening of two RV Resorts. She’s attended numerous training sessions for Vantage Hospitality, Days Inn, Best Western International, Choice Hotels International and Holiday Inn Express.
Ms. Vickers has a proven history of substantially increasing profitability by implementing tight controls and lowering costs, while utilizing yield management strategies to increase Average Daily Rates and occupancy in her region. She’s able to draw on the knowledge and experience she gained as Director of Purchasing to train Innisfree Hotel managers in product purchasing, pricing, ordering, shipment tracking, delivery and installation. She attends numerous trade shows throughout the year to ensure Innisfree purchases quality products at competitive pricing.
Ms. Vickers is a Certified Hotel Administrator, a member-at-large of the American Business Women’s Association, a member of the National Recreation & Park Association and a member of The Hospitality Industry Network.
