Regional Director of Operations

Gabe DiCianni was promoted to his current position in July 2012.  He joined Innisfree Hotels in 1999 as a night auditor and front desk clerk while he completed his BA in Business Management.  In 2001, Innisfree offered him a position in their manager training program. A short time later he was promoted to the position of Assistant General Manager at Young’s By the Sea; a 113 room independent hotel in Gulf Shores, Alabama.

In June of 2002, Mr. DiCianni was promoted again to the position of General Manager at the Days Inn in Orange Beach, Alabama. In 2004, after Hurricane Ivan destroyed the hotel, he was appointed as the opening General Manager at the Hilton Garden Inn in Orange Beach; a position he held for five years.  During the first full year of operation, he increased the hotel’s gross revenue by 41% and won the Highest Increase in Customer Loyalty brand award.  The hotel also outperformed the brand average in income before fixed costs by nearly 10%. 

In the winter of 2010, Innisfree offered Gabe the opportunity to open and manage a brand new 160 room Hampton Inn & Suites in Orange Beach Alabama.  The hotel was built by Innisfree Development and opened in the spring of 2011.  Under Mr. DiCianni’s direction the sales team booked $1.1 million in group sales during construction and achieved an occupancy rate of 99% sixty days after opening.

Mr. DiCianni has gained considerable experience during his Innisfree tenure with implementing and overseeing property improvement plans, assisting with third party management contracts, operational budgeting and forecasting and in creating solid brand relationships.   

He attended the University of West Florida on a four year athletic scholarship and is a Certified Hotel Administrator.
